A pinch of grass!

I have a very strange obsession with large pegs! I have several wall mounted ones that I can use to pin up ideas and inspiration on a daily basis. One of my favourites that I have is a bright red one from Pottery Barn, which later on got duplicated by Indigo.

So when I came across this photograph of an art installation in the  Chaudfontaine park in Belgium by Uysal Mehmel Ali, you can imagine my excitement. 

Bulky Giants To Structural Charms!

How many times have you seen electrical towers that appear to be bulky structural giants, which look completely out of place on grass hillsides and vast empty spaces of land? Only of course one photographer (Steffen Schrägle) can make something so industrial and out of place look ethereal.

However there is another option, to change the form of the electrical towers to suit the environment around it and mimic the natural aesthetics. A Moscow-based design studio (Design Depot) did just that. They realized a design concept that could potentially solve this visual dilemma by making the towers appear more natural and also they added a touch of character.

Welcome to the darkside!

' Dark side of the lens' is an incredibly inspiring video—a short film of a surf photographer directed by Mickey Smith. The first time I viewed it everything in the room literally went silent and I didn't realize until it was over that I had been holding my breath!

It is a story about having passion for what you do and how you see the world and its not about where the destination takes you but to enjoy every minute of it.

The cinematography is just astounding!

Club Of The Waves

Photography down to string!

Hung Sungchul a South Korean artist creates these ghostly three dimensional photographs entirely made of string. Each piece is the combination of hundreds of elastic strings that have been printed on with sections of a photograph.

His work is stunning to say the least, as it entices the viewer to use their whole body to interact with each piece, and not just their eyes alone.

I  would certainty love to see these pieces in real life so I can personally interact with his work and see the full depth and dimensions.
